How to use a wiki:
  1. We tried to change the name of a page after it was created. Can't figure out how to do that.
  2. To find your page in the future you can go to the manage space button.
  3. You can bookmark your page and go straight there

Why to use a wiki:
  1. Collaborative editing is live
  2. No crisscrossing of versions in the mail
  3. Allows participants to cross platforms and software constraints


Ways to use a wiki:
  1. Teachers can use them to post assignments,
  2. collaborative writing,
  3. critiques using the discussion tabs,
  4. Collaborative communication tool for library management
  5. Committee collaboration
  6. Policy development work

Challenges:
  1. Only successful if everyone contributes
  2. Participation is often low-10% is average

I will be using this tool to extend a lesson on folktales around the world for 2nd grade students. I will use it with an interactive white board.
